Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Loewe lead this year’s Fashion Awards with four nominations each, as annouced by the British Fashion Council.

2,500 industry insiders were invited to vote for their preferences for each award. Fighting for the 2019 Brand of the Year award are Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Jacquemus, Loewe and Prada: Alessandro Michele of Gucci, Daniel Lee of Bottega Veneta, Jonathan Anderson of Loewe, Kim Jones of Dior Men, and Simon Porte of Jacquemus; some of them are also nominated for Designer of the Year alongside Kim Jones and Miuccia Prada.

In addition to the ten categories the British Fashion Council will recognize 100 of the most innovative and inspiring young creative talent from around the world as part of the NEW WAVE. The list includes everything from artists, activists and casting agents to florists, image makers and nail artists.
