Milan Fashion Week 2020 is over

After the fiasco announced by some Cassandras, Milan Fashion Week ended on Monday with a more than honorable result. The National Chamber of Italian Fashion (CNMI) has demonstrated its ability to manage such an event in complete safety, organizing a Week that effectively marks the entry of fashion into a new era. It also offered all market players, present in Milan or following the event from the other side of the world, the sweet sensation of a return to normalcy.
First positive point. It is the first time that a Fashion Week has such a low environmental impact. The center of Milan has never been so fluid in a similar period. No traffic, no fuss, no hysteria. Many admit that "this time it was much better". Taking the time to enjoy a fashion show, without having to run out of breath to the next one, taking advantage of the moment and the possibility to spend time together again. These are the new sensations offered by the Milan Fashion Week in September 2020, but it does not mean that it was less dense.
The event has paradoxically given the impression of being more successful than in the past. With 21 physical shows in five days (compared to 19 in eight days in Paris) and numerous parallel meetings and presentations, which benefited from a larger audience thanks to the greater availability of buyers and press, but also thanks to digital.
